Cariocas, people from Rio de Janeiro, like to give presents. Even better If there´s a drugstore on the way to a party. In my weekly Radio program I said that drugstores are good places to buy gifts and the listeners agreed. There are so many nice items one can find in a drugstore, and I am not talking about medicine. This edition you will see gifts that have to do with carioca´s lifestyle.
On the way to the beach there was a drugstore – And you decided to buy your girl friend´s Christmas gift. Since “cariocas” are very concerned about their appearance, I suggest Nivea´s My Silhouette, that promises to slim and reshape the body.
On the way to a party there was a supermarket – How about buying a present at the supermarket for your boyfriend´s/ husband´s family? In Brazil, Italian panettone bread is very popular.
On the way to work there was a flip flop store – And sure enough, you decided to stop to see the new  models of Havaianas flip flops and the bags the brand is launching this summer.
On the way to the mall there was a vintage pharmacy – Granado, known for its very traditional and antique products, has been changing its image and having a lot of success with its cheap and excellent products.
On the way to the movies there was an off-price store – Famous Brazilian designer Isabela Capeto opened an off-price store in the district of Humaitá, Rio de Janeiro.
